Responsibilities
- Install, repair, operate, and maintain technical equipment for TV and radio stations; troubleshoot and make corrective repairs as needed.
- Maintain and log transmitters, equipment repairs, inventory, wire logs, and schematics
- Train and assist operators in using equipment
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years in college, military, or tech school; electronics training
- Broadcast station operation and maintenance or military electronics repair.
- Proficiency in PC and IT, basic networking, Zixi streaming, Comark TV transmitters, broadcast routers, video Mult viewers, spectrum analyzers, Gates Air FM transmitters, and Wide Orbit radio automation.
- Knowledge of CAD programs and databases for documenting installations; familiarity with IP broadcasting is desirable.
- Excellent computer skills, ability to stay current with new technologies, strong communication, troubleshooting, time management, and customer service skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team
