Responsibilities:
- Map and analyze processes and identify ways to reduce waste, improve work flow, and otherwise increase efficiency.
- Develop strategies and plans to ensure the sustainability of improvements.
- Document processes, instructions, recommendations, and key metrics.
- Analyze equipment and safety specifications to provide recommendations.
- Oversee transitions, upgrades, and shifts in job structure, including defining and tracking performance metrics.
- Confer with other departments to determine progress of work and completion dates.
- Compile reports on costs and inventory levels.
- Review and communicate production status reports.
- Serve as point of contact between production and planning teams.
- Examine manufacturing and production processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain process documentation to support process improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing or Engineering.
- Minimum Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
- Plastic Injection Molding
- Expertise within the plastics industry.
- DMAIC and PDCA
- Execute process improvement processes, perform root cause analysis, and create detailed reports about improvement issues.
- Strong leader in applying engineering fundamentals, new product development, evaluating data, managing results and recommending design concepts.
