RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for implementing departmental policies, objectives, goals, and organizing officials and staff members.
- In charge of coordinating businesses or departments concerned with the production, pricing, sales or distribution of products.
- Monitor businesses and agencies to make sure services are provided within budgetary limits.
- Ensures compliance with all safety requirements.
- Lead the manufacturing functions in the plant on all shifts to ensure on-time production and shipment of conforming products and materials. Including: planning the production flow, troubleshooting manufacturing issues, handling staffing issues, and monitoring production orders and schedules.
- Prepare monthly budgets.
- Utilize the warehouse function to timely process incoming and outgoing shipments while fully supporting production related processes of picking, staging, and reconciliation.
- Optimize resource utilization by implementation of an effective production organization.
- Work with managers to implement the company's policies and goals.
- Develop and track improvement in reduction of planned production hours.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA in Business, Management , Engineering or related field.
- Experience in Fragrance, Skincare or Hair Care.
- Manufacturing/Engineering experience in cosmetic/personal care/OTC and contract manufacturing.
- 10 plus years of Plant Management experience in a manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of good manufacturing practices (GMP)
- OSHA guidelines
- Proven experience in reducing plant production costs, and in increasing safety standards.
- Previous experience/best practices implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools such as; Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, etc. to drive improvement.
- Coordination of production activities including job scheduling, staffing, etc and hold daily meeting to coordinate.
- Conduct Quality audits on products moving through-out the plant.
- Ensure labor tracking is timely and accurate.
- Provide training for plant staff.
- Responds to external customer needs with plant visits, assisting in customer surveys, and customer complaint resolution.
- Proven experience in reducing plant production costs, and in increasing safety standards.
- Must have strong communication skills.
