Responsibilities:
- Design, analyze, budget, prototypes and samples, purchase and build equipment, machine acceptance, train, implement and improve.
- Create and optimize new extrusion processes to improve product quality and production efficiency.
- Prepares engineering and cost analyses for process improvement.
- Designs manufacturing processes that meet customer product, delivery, and cost requirements.
- Conduct engineering and cost analyses to identify and implement process improvements. Maintain the engineering database, including: Bills of materials , Routing and production standards, Drawings and process sheets and Engineering Change Requests/Notices (ECR/ECNs).
- Ensure that all extrusion processes comply with safety regulations and standards.
- Implement safety measures and conduct hazard assessments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- 3 plus years of experience in manufacturing operation.
- Extrusion experience or experience with hydraulic presses and metal forming.
- Experience leading or supporting new product introduction (NPI).
- Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Perform continuous improvements.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- FMEAs (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
