Essential Functions
- The Concrete Batching Plant Manager will operate the batch plant safely and efficiently, ensuring each load meets specifications and minimizing batching time.
- Coordinate with suppliers and dispatch to prevent material shortages that could delay production.
- Perform maintenance tasks and report any potential safety hazards or issues that could lead to downtime.
- The Concrete Batching Plant Manager will adhere to safety procedures, including using protective equipment and reporting incidents.
- Assist with truck operation, yard duties, or compliance tasks like collecting water samples.
- Support drivers with loading and improve batching efficiency and accuracy.
- The Concrete Batching Plant Manager will maintain a clean yard and office to reduce hazards.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, customers, and dispatchers.
- Ensure punctuality and regular attendance.
Qualifications
- The Concrete Batching Plant Manager must hold a degree in Engineering or Operations Management.
- Must have 5 years of experience in ready-mix concrete operations (e.g., driving or dispatching).
- Must hold active concrete, ready-mix certifications
- Strong math, forecasting, and communication skills to manage materials and inventory.
