The Production Manager will oversee operations across two production floors. This role is responsible for meeting production targets, ensuring quality, maintaining safety, and driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, capable of fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.
Responsibilities:
- The Production Manager will ensure production schedules are being followed, goals are met, and efficiency is optimized. Resolve bottlenecks and maintain budget adherence.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop production staff. Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and manage staffing needs.
- Maintain high-quality standards and compliance with safety and industry regulations. Work with QA to address issues and support ISO certification efforts.
- The Production Manager will promote a safe work environment and ensure adherence to OSHA guidelines. Conduct safety audits and address incidents.
- Collaborate with purchasing to manage inventory, minimize waste, and ensure timely material delivery.
- Lead process improvements, implement best practices, and monitor KPIs to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
- The Production Manager must hold a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Must have 5 years of production management experience, in steel fabrication or the building materials industry.
- Must have experience with stamping and metal work (preferably cold header too).
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- The Production Manager must be proficient in ERP systems and spreadsheets.
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift to 60 pounds.
- Work in a semi-climate-controlled environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
