Job Summary:
The Sr. Electrical Engineer will design electrical/electronic products for power generation, transmission, distribution, and motor systems, including protective relays, voltage regulators, genset controllers, and excitation systems. Lead electrical design efforts, applying advanced knowledge of electrical architecture and circuit design to ensure project success.

Electrical Engineering Systems Design Manager
Essential Duties:
- The Sr. Electrical Engineer will establish design criteria to meet customer requirements.
- Develop electrical/electronic designs based on specifications.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with diverse teams.
- The Sr. Electrical Engineer will design systems, including controllers, power electronic bridges, protection equipment, and HMI.
- Create and integrate high-speed digital, microprocessor, FPGA, communication, analog, and power circuit designs.
- Collaborate with firmware/software engineers for proper system integration.
- The Sr. Electrical Engineer will select standard parts and calculate electrical stress for components.
- Generate electrical schematics and oversee testing and evaluation.
- Verify and release final designs to Mechanical Engineering.
- Supervise engineers and technicians on projects.
- The Sr. Electrical Engineer will assist in writing operation theories, manuals, and sales bulletins.
- Estimate materials and engineering effort for quotes.
Requirements:
- The Sr. Electrical Engineer must hold a B.S. in Electrical Engineering
- Must have 5 years of electrical/electronic design experience.
- Expertise in regulating voltage, protecting, and monitoring synchronous generators and motors through advanced excitation systems.
- Proficient in designing retrofit systems for integration into existing applications, such as power plant upgrades and refurbishments.
- The Sr. Electrical Engineer must have the ability to develop excitation systems compatible with various manufacturers of synchronous generators and motors, ensuring versatility across applications.
- Skilled in creating and implementing electrical design standards for PLC, protection, and excitation systems.
- Competent in ensuring seamless integration and compatibility of excitation systems with control, HMI, and mechanical disciplines.
- The Sr. Electrical Engineer must have experience in generating detailed 1-line and 3-line schematics, wire diagrams, transformer specifications, and logic files for digital controllers.
- Strong ability to design circuits independently.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Proficient in engineering design and simulation tools.
