Job Requirements and Skills:
- The Structural Engineer will create designs and layouts using hand sketches, Bluebeam, and Bentley software, applying engineering judgment and problem-solving.
- Perform engineering design and detailing using Bentley software or hand calculations/sketches.
- Communicate with clients to verify conditions and requirements, attending on-site or office meetings.
- The Structural Engineer will collaborate effectively on multi-disciplinary teams as a leader or member to achieve project goals.
- Review and approve project scopes, budgets, and schedules, and prepare service proposals.
- Ensure project documents meet quality standards and conformity.
- Regularly update Project Notes, Tasks, and Timecards in QuickBase.
Job Qualifications:
- The Structural Engineer must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Must have 5 years of engineering experience with relevant skills in industrial, commercial, food processing, and manufacturing sectors.
- Experience with structural software (Bentley preferred); Revit knowledge is a plus.
- The Structural Engineer must be proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and QuickBase.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Self-motivated with initiative and discipline.
- Ability to travel to job sites locally; limited overnight travel.
- The Structural Engineer must have knowledge of design standards and codes.
