Responsibilities
- Uses computer-aided drafting (CAD) software to create full-scale and detailed designs
- Focuses on designing and analyzing load-bearing structures, including steel frameworks
- Draws plans for foundations, buildings, and structures based on instructions provided by engineers
- Determines the types of materials needed and calculates the quantity to be ordered
Qualifications
- Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering Degree a must
- Certification from an accredited Drafting & Design Education Program
- Minimum of 1 year of practical experience in substation design
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in steel design (Required)
- 3 years of experience with engineering drawings (Required)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD with 3 years of hands-on experience (Required)
