Job Summary:
The Client Bookkeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day bookkeeping operations for a portfolio of clients. Key Responsibilities:
Client Account Management:
· Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their bookkeeping needs and inquiries.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their financial goals and requirements.
· Provide proactive financial insights and recommendations to clients.
· Ensure client accounts are managed in a timely and efficient manner.
Coordinating Bookkeeping Team:
· Lead, mentor, and manage a small team, ensuring they meet deadlines and adhere to quality standards.
· Provide training, guidance, and professional development for team members.
· Review team performance and provide constructive feedback.
Financial Record Keeping:
· Oversee the accurate recording of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
· Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles and regulations.
· Review and reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial documents.
Reporting and Analysis:
· Generate and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for clients, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
· Prepare and present financial reports to clients, explaining key insights and trends.
· Assist clients with budget forecasting and financial planning.
Accounting Software Management:
· Ensure that bookkeeping processes are effectively integrated with QuickBooks or other accounting software.
· Stay up to date on accounting technologies and recommend improvements to streamline operations.
Tax and Compliance Support:
· Ensure clients remain compliant with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
· Assist with the preparation of financial documents for tax filings, working closely with tax professionals.
· Monitor and implement necessary accounting updates due to regulatory changes.
Process Improvement:
· Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of bookkeeping operations.
· Maintain organized and systematic client files and documentation.
Qualifications:
· Prefer 5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial management.
· Prefer 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
· Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
· Understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial regulations.
