Job Description
The Producer, Project Manager serves a critical role at AKA. They consult with clients to develop strategic video communications campaigns and organize internal and external teams. The Producer, Project Manager serves AKA’s clients by project managing production workflows, including video content strategy, production, post-production, distribution and measurement.
They are a highly organized, ambitious, creative problem solver who manages our clients, teams and strategic partners. They have strong communication skills, can foster open communication in a creative environment and have the natural ability to motivate and instill confidence in our clients and team members.
The Producer, Project Manager assists with strategic planning by providing fresh thinking and new ideas. They work independently under tight deadlines and have strong project management skills.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Serves as production lead and video content producer/strategist
- Consults with clients to understand strategic goals and develop detailed, specific briefs, budgets and work
- Communicates production information to all internal and external parties associated with the production, while managing client expectations
- Responsible for managing multiple productions at various life cycles, from development to distribution
- Creates and maintains complex production schedules, timelines, estimates and deliverables, while adhering to deadlines and budget parameters
- Understands contemporary aspects of video filming and post-production, including camera/audio operation, lighting, audio, and location management
- Identifies, manages and hires strategic partners and teams based on the project’s specifications
- Experience in virtual event productions, including remote live streaming from multiple locations
- Knowledgeable in streaming platforms and identifying the appropriate usage
- Collaborates with team on brainstorming and scriptwriting
- Advances AKA’s capabilities, company growth goals and strategic relationships
- Implements processes, software and collaboration to improve AKA’s productivity and efficiency
Candidate Requirements
- BA or BS Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2-4 years of professional experience as lead producer
- Understanding of video content creation, production, distribution and measurement
- Excellent organizational skills, with an emphasis on priorities and goal setting
- Proactive, accountable and can collaborate and manage projects from concept through delivery, with minimal supervision
- Forward thinking, with the ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan projects with tight deadlines
- Highly motivated, creative and organized with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to travel for productions, as needed, including weekdays, weekends and holidays
