Overview
Location: Fort Riley, KS
Responsibilities
• Examine teeth, gums, and related tissues using dental instruments, radiographs, and other diagnostic instruments.
• Provide general dentistry procedures.
• Examine, diagnose, and treat various dental diseases.
• Complete molar endo and/or pulpal debridements.
• Provide fixed and removable prosthetic procedures.
• Treat teeth for extraction and/or surgical removal.
• Prescribe medications.
• Enter data into workload data reporting system.
• Refer patients to appropriate specialists when necessary,
• Conduct oral health, tobacco cessation, and diet counseling.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Graduate of an ADA-accredited dental school approved by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) of the American Dental Association (ADA) with either a DDS or DMD.
• Current state licensure to practice dentistry.
• Shall have been employed for at least one (1) year in the last (2) years on a full-time basis in the practice of dentistry or be in a recent (1-year) graduate of an accredited, post-graduate dentistry training program. One year experience in the last two years prior to contract execution, as a dentist.
• Must obtain current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration number.
• Current BLS through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Current immunizations, required.
