Overview
Location: Maxwell AFB - 42nd Medical Group
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 40 hours a week.
Pay: Between $120,000/year - $165,000/year

*Position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
- The Pharmacist will perform a wide range of pharmacist procedures.
- Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical services within the personnel, supply, and equipment capabilities of the facility.
- Counsel patients regarding appropriate use of medications.
- Review patient profiles at the time of dispensing to closely monitor medication therapy.
- The Pharmacists will ensure prescription directions for use, dose, medication interactions, therapeutic duplications or overlaps, allergy information, age specific dosage, and other pertinent data are appropriate for individual patients.
- Intervention with providers shall be made for noted discrepancy of above listed items. Ensure accuracy of all pharmaceutical products prepared or processed by technical staff.
- Supervise inventory control of all pharmaceuticals in the pharmacy, especially scheduled pharmaceuticals, and ensure pharmacy security.
- Maintain appropriate records and security of all scheduled controlled substances according to applicable regulation.
- Document significant medication interactions, and pharmacy interactions with Prescribers.
- Conduct Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR) reporting and patient safety reports in accordance with The Joint Commission (TJC) standards.
- Facilitate medical staff drug utilization reviews (DURs) as deemed necessary.
- Pharmacist will be present and available to lead and coordinate pharmacy workflow.
- The Pharmacist will perform all duties at an acceptable speed and accuracy standard as established and deemed appropriate by the work center supervisor.
- Must demonstrate teamwork and self-initiation in accomplishing the pharmacy mission.
Qualifications
- Shall read, understand, speak, and write English fluently.
- A bachelor’s or Doctoral degree in pharmacy from a college of pharmacy accredited by the AmericanCouncil on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).
- Experience. A minimum of one (1) years’ experience in outpatient or community as pharmacist withinthe past three (3) years.
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a pharmacist.
