RN Behavioral Health/Psych
Location: Northampton, MA 01060
Shift: 7pm-7:30am, EOW- 24 hrs.
Pay rate: $60/hr. on w2 with benefits
Duration: 13 weeks
Weekly expected hours: 24
- 24 hours, night shift with every other weekend rotation.
- The Inpatient Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse who as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team provides nursing care to assigned patients, through the use of the nursing process.
- Provides for patient safety by maintenance of a safe milieu and determining how to utilize the milieu to meet patient’s needs.
- The Inpatient Staff Nurse practices under the supervision of the Medical Director.
Unit-Specific Education Requirements
- BLS certification required.
- De-Escalation training required within 60 days of hire or transfer into department.
Unit-Specific Experience Requirements
- Psychiatric and geriatric nursing experience preferred.
- Demonstrated excellent technical, interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communication skills required.
- Psychiatric and geriatric nursing experience preferred. Other ongoing retraining is also required.
