Systems Analyst - Applications Administrator

Akerman is seeking an experienced professional to administer and maintain Microsoft SharePoint Online, HighQ (a data sharing and collaboration platform), and a range of applications that require occasional attention and that form a legal applications pool. 

The ideal candidate will ensure seamless functionality, provide technical support, and manage periodic updates rolled out by vendors. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders. This position is approved for remote work in any state where Akerman has an office.

Key Responsibilities:

   SharePoint Online Administration

  • Configure, maintain, and monitor the SharePoint Online environment.
  • Manage site collections, permissions, workflows, and content libraries.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint issues, including performance optimization.
  • Implement security measures such as access controls and data encryption.
  • Provide end user training on SharePoint features and functionality.
  • Perform regular system updates, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Integrate SharePoint with other enterprise applications as needed.

   HighQ Administration

  • Administer HighQ instances, including user roles, permissions, and site configurations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to customize HighQ for business needs.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure compliance with data sharing policies.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to HighQ functionality or integrations.
  • Coordinate with the vendor for updates, patches, and feature enhancements.
  • Provide training to users on HighQ tools and workflows.

   Application Maintenance & Support

  • Oversee the lifecycle of task specific applications provided by external vendors.
  • Ensure timely installation of updates, patches, and new releases.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the organization and application vendors.
  • Provide technical support to resolve application related issues for end users.
  • Document application configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Analyze system performance reports to identify improvement opportunities.

   Cross functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with IT teams to align application configurations with organizational needs.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements for collaboration tools.
  • Support integration efforts between SharePoint Online, HighQ, and other systems.

Qualifications:

   Education & Experience

  • 2 years of experience administering SharePoint Online or similar platforms.
  • Experience managing HighQ or other collaboration platforms is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with vendor managed application environments.

   Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint Online, PowerShell scripting).
  • Knowledge of HighQ administration features such as user roles and permissions management.
  • Understanding of data governance principles and secure collaboration practices.
  • Experience in troubleshooting application issues across multiple platforms.
  • Strong communication skills to train users and collaborate across teams effectively.
  • Analytical thinking for diagnosing complex technical problems.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple applications simultaneously.
