Position Overview:
As a Product Engineer for our High Horsepower cooling system product lines, you will play a critical role in new product development and existing product improvements. Our solutions support data centers and healthcare facilities for some of the world’s most prominent technology companies. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, hands-on problem-solving, and customer interaction to drive innovation and ensure product excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development & Innovation
- Lead product improvement and development for High Horsepower cooling system product lines
- Optimize cost and manufacturability while maintaining high performance
- Assist in the introduction of new products and technologies within assigned markets
Technical Leadership & Collaboration
- Interface with manufacturing, design, and engineering teams to drive product and process improvements
- Develop and maintain a high level of product and application knowledge
- Define assembly testing methods and documentation standards
Customer & Market Engagement
- Act as a technical liaison between AKG and external customers through on-site visits and collaboration
- Translate customer feedback into design strategies and product enhancements
- Gather market intelligence through customer interactions and trade show participation
Communication & Documentation
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain well-documented project files for accessibility and knowledge sharing
- Assist in producing marketing materials and technical content for product lines
What You Bring to AKG
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3 years of engineering experience in heat transfer, HVAC, or a related field
Technical Expertise
- Strong foundation in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials strength
- Hands-on experience with SolidEdge, SolidWorks, or equivalent CAD software
- Working knowledge of FEA and CFD with the ability to interpret results
- Understanding of steel fabrication, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems (e.g., pumps, fans, bearings, AC motors)
