We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of data infrastructure for an AI governance project. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance while supporting the development of AI systems that align with federal regulations and ethical standards. The role focuses specifically on designing data architectures for AI Lab environment projects and creating high-quality synthetic datasets that accurately represent data patterns while preserving privacy and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable data architectures to support AI governance frameworks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements, standards, and best practices for AI systems.
- Develop and maintain metadata guidelines, data models, and data dictionaries.
- Ensure compliance with federal data governance policies, including security, privacy, and ethical considerations.
- Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and federal clients to integrate AI solutions into existing systems.
- Oversee data lifecycle management, including data ingestion, storage, processing, and retrieval.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency.
- Provide technical leadership in the adoption of emerging technologies and AI governance tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- 8 years of experience in data architecture, with a focus on AI or machine learning projects.
- Strong understanding of federal data governance policies and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in data modeling, database design, and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data integration tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse teams and clients.
- Existing government clearance or ability to get a public trust clearance.
- Knowledge of techniques for validating synthetic data quality and representativeness
- Experience designing data architectures for lab/sandbox environments
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of AI ethics and responsible AI practices.
- Familiarity with federal contracting and consulting environments.
- Certifications in data architecture or cloud technologies (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
