Obstetric Nurse - Night Shift

The Whiteriver Indian Health Service (IHS) is dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare to the White Mountain Apache Tribe and surrounding communities. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Outpatient OB Nurse to join our obstetrics team and contribute to improving maternal and child health outcomes in our community.

-Conduct comprehensive prenatal assessments, providing education, guidance, and support to expectant mothers throughout their pregnancies.

-Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate personalized care plans for patients.

-Perform and interpret routine prenatal tests and screenings to monitor the health of both mother and child.

-Deliver postnatal care, including breastfeeding support and health education for new mothers during outpatient visits.

-Educate patients on prenatal and postnatal health, emphasizing nutrition, exercise, and overall well-being.

-Actively participate in community health programs and initiatives to enhance maternal and child health outcomes.

Licensure: Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in any U.S. state.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher; specialization in obstetrics is highly desirable.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in obstetric nursing, preferably in an outpatient setting.

-Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, fostering effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

-Proven commitment to delivering culturally sensitive care in diverse community settings.

-Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.

-Additional certification in obstetric nursing (e.g., RNC-OB) is highly advantageous.
