The Position:

Ecommerce Merchandiser & Dropship Specialist

Chicago, IL On-Site


Job Summary:

As an Ecommerce Merchandiser & Dropship Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the merchandising of our online store as well as overseeing the operations of our dropship channels. This includes managing product assortments, executing buys and markdown strategies, and ensuring that all product data (including prices, SKUs, and styles) is aligned across our various platforms. You will also work closely with marketing teams and agencies to drive SEO, Google Ads, and Meta Ads campaigns to increase traffic and sales. A key aspect of this role is maintaining the accuracy and alignment of products between our B2C and B2B (dropship) channels.


Key Responsibilities:

Ecommerce Merchandising:

  • Curate, manage, and optimize product collections for the online store, ensuring a seamless and appealing shopping experience.
  • Strategize and execute product buys, markdowns, and pricing strategies based on sales performance and market trends.
  • Plan and implement seasonal and promotional collections, collaborating with buying teams to ensure timely product availability.
  • Create and update promotional strategies, including creating coupon codes, site-wide sales, and exclusive offers.
  • Analyze site performance and customer behavior to make data-driven decisions for merchandising improvements.
  • Own product and marketing calendars to secure site experience is exuding with excitement on the newest and greatest products.

Dropship Channel Management:

  • Oversee the product setup for the dropship channel, ensuring accurate SKU, pricing, and style information.
  • Maintain product data, including managing product SKUs, pricing adjustments, and style updates across all dropship platforms.
  • Ensure product data is consistent and aligned between B2C and B2B channels, preventing discrepancies or errors.
  • Act as the key point of contact for dropship partners, ensuring smooth order fulfillment, accurate inventory tracking, and timely communication.
  • Monitor dropship performance, identify issues or trends, and work to resolve any operational bottlenecks.

Data Management & Analysis:

  • Utilize advanced Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, and pivot tables) to manage product data, track sales performance, and provide actionable insights for both the B2C and B2B channels.
  • Maintain detailed reports on product performance, pricing, markdowns, and sales forecasts to help drive business strategies.
  • Continuously monitor inventory levels and communicate with the operations team to ensure stock levels align with demand across both ecommerce and dropship channels.

Collaboration with Marketing:

  • Have experience working closely with marketing teams and external agencies to integrate SEO strategies into product descriptions, images, and site copy.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create targeted Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns that align with merchandising strategies and product launches.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance across SEO, Google Ads, and Meta Ads, making adjustments as necessary to maximize traffic and conversions.

Site Merchandising & Optimization:

  • Ensure that all product collections are accurately displayed, categorized, and optimized for both desktop and mobile experiences.
  • Continuously optimize product pages, improving product descriptions, images, and overall content to increase engagement and conversion rates.
  • Conduct A/B testing on merchandising strategies (e.g., homepage layout, product placements) to find the most effective tactics for driving sales.


Qualifications:

  • Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in ecommerce merchandising, with a proven track record of managing product assortments, pricing strategies, and online marketing campaigns.
  • Experience with Ecommerce drop shipping, including product setup, SKU management, and maintaining alignment between multiple sales channels.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Highly proficient in Excel, including VLOOKUP, SUMIF, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Experience with ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify) and merchandising tools.
  • Familiarity with website analytics platforms like Google Analytics and SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs).
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and ecommerce optimization best practices.
  • Knowledge of Google Ads, Meta Ads, and other paid media platforms.
