Associate, Technical Analyst (Part-Time)

Akira Technologies, Inc. is looking for several Part-Time Associates in various technical disciplines such as AI/ML; Quantum Information Sciences; Data Engineering; Data Science; Software Engineering; and Systems Engineering to support cutting-edge programs with Akira Labs.

The ideal candidate must be committed to working at least 10 hours a week (40 hours a month).  Candidates are expected to work at the Akira Headquarters at least once weekly for a minimum of five hours.

Job Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in a core technical discipline such as software development; database development; data engineering; or a more specialized hands-on technical discipline such as AI/ML or Quantum Information Sciences.
• Apply analytical skills to direct one’s own work against a set of evolving requirements.
• Identify project requirements by interviewing client-facing staff, analyzing operations, determining project scope, and document results.
• Describe requirements in a work-flowchart and diagram, study system capabilities, analyze alternative solutions, and prepare system specifications.
• Assist in developing project estimates by identifying phases and elements, personnel requirements, and costs.
• Verify results by completing quality assurance tests.
• Ability to demonstrate work to internal stakeholders, partners, and customers.

 Job Requirements

• Knowledge of code repository and development stacks such as GitHub, Jupyter Notebooks, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Good internal and external customer service orientation.
• Detail and results-oriented, self-starter, with good organizational skills.
• Able to multi-task.
• Analytical with problem-solving skills.

Salary Range:  $15 to $17.50 per hour 

Akira’s pay range for this position considers various factors including skills, years of experience, training, licenses, certifications, alignment with market data, and internal equity in the organization. This pay range estimate is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary, which Akira believes to be done in good faith in compliance with local laws.  The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

General Description of Benefits

Part-Time employees working 29 hours or less are not qualified to receive Akira's benefit plans.  If eligible, they can nonetheless participate in the company's 401(k) plan with employer match.
