Akira Technologies is seeking a Business Development Analyst to join our team for critical work supporting Akira. As a key member of our Growth Team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, conducting market research, and supporting proposal development for the company. Job Responsibilities
Market Research
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape within the public sector.
- Analyze market data to identify potential business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Preference for experience with GovWin or similar tools to research and track opportunities.
Opportunity Identification
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities within the Department of Defense and Federal Civilian sectors.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential opportunities, ensuring alignment with Akira's strategy.
- Coordinate with growth team for phase gates, populate gate data, and collect gate data.
- Improve corporate pipeline tool and maintain data, coordinating with growth team.
Proposal Development
- Support the development of proposals, including writing, editing, and coordinating proposal content.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and ensure timely submission of high-quality proposals.
- Coordinate with proposal development team to prioritize and track activities.
Customer Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and Akira employees.
- Participate in customer meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities to promote Akira's capabilities and solutions.
- Coordinate and at times lead kickoff meetings.
Data Analysis
- Analyze business development metrics and performance data to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and initiatives.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve business development processes and outcomes.
- Develop and maintain a risk management dashboard.
- Develop and maintain a growth dashboard.
AI and NLP
- Utilize AI and Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies to enhance market research, proposal development, and customer engagement.
- Preference for experience with Ask Sage or similar AI tools to streamline and optimize business development activities.
Strategic Planning
- Contribute to the development and execution of business development strategies and plans.
- Assist in setting goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for growth team.
Collaboration
- Work closely with technical teams, project managers, and subject matter experts to understand Akira's offerings and capabilities.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry trends, government procurement processes, and regulatory changes.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in business development.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree. Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development analysis, with a strong proficiency in market research, opportunity identification, and proposal development.
- Expertise in the Department of Defense and Federal Civilian sectors.
- Solid understanding of government procurement processes, with hands-on experience in developing and managing business development pipelines.
- Proficiency in data analysis and CRM tools, with the ability to analyze and interpret business development metrics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- US Citizenship required.
Salary Range: $80,000 to $125,000
Akira’s pay range for this position considers various factors including skills, years of experience, training, licenses, certifications, alignment with market data, and internal equity in the organization. This pay range estimate is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary, which Akira believes to be done in good faith in compliance with local laws.
