Akira Technologies is seeking a Qlik Developer/Data Analyst to support development and enhancement of Navy analytics tools for leadership decision making. The role will directly support Qlik agile software development for dashboard visualizations. This role provides the opportunities to learn Qlik best practices, gain skills in designing dashboards, gain exposure to data engineering/ETL tools such as Databricks, and apply agile scrum methodologies
Ideal candidate should be local to DC area, but virtual or hybrid support is also available.
Job Responsibilities
- Directly contribute to the Qlik agile software development process, focusing on creating intuitive and effective dashboard visualizations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate requirements-gathering sessions and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Lead efforts in work estimation, dashboard design, Qlik load script development, coding, and testing to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Perform complex database queries to support reporting needs and ensure data integrity.
- Gather and implement user feedback to refine dashboards and enhance user experience.
- Explore and address complex user challenges, balancing technical constraints with innovative solutions.
- Effectively articulate solutions and collaborate with both functional and technical teams to deliver impactful results.
- Create and deliver clear and engaging presentations to stakeholders, showcasing progress, insights, and outcomes.
Job Qualifications
- 3 years of experience with Qlik data visualization software and data load editor functionality.
- Bachelors degree in a related field such as Computer Science or Data Engineering.
- Experience with data engineering and data architecture.
- Experience with ETL methodology and/or creating data models within Qlik and/or Databricks environment to join multiple data sources into a model for accurate and efficient rendering of outputs within Qlik. Understanding of data automation principles.
- Experience with Databricks/Snowflake and strong understanding of SQL preferred. Some experience with Python and R may also be useful.
- Experience leading technical review with clients and stakeholders
- Experience working with ServiceNow and/or government data management systems (i.e., ADVANA Jupiter) is preferred
- Knowledge of US Navy Chaplains Corp is preferred
- US Citizenship.
- Active DoD Secret clearance is required.
Salary Range: $73,000 to $112,000
Akira’s pay range for this position considers various factors including skills, years of experience, training, licenses, certifications, alignment with market data, and internal equity in the organization.
