Quality Assurance Lead (Pipeline)

Akira Technologies, Inc. is building a talent pipeline for a future Quality Assurance Lead position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading software testing efforts, ensuring systems operate efficiently and are free from defects. This role involves developing test models, identifying quality improvements, and serving as an information resource for technical writers and analysts. 

Ideal candidates should be based in the DC Metro Area or willing to relocate.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform and lead software tests to ensure proper functionality and freedom from defects.
• Develop and execute test cases, scenarios, and scripts to validate software performance.
• Create test data for applications and analyze testing results.
• Document and resolve complex software defects and track progress toward resolution.
• Report problem resolution updates to management.
• Devise improvements to current testing procedures and develop future testing models.
• Act as an information resource to technical writers and other Quality Assurance Analysts.
• Conduct workflow analysis and recommend quality improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• Sigma/Black Belt Certification.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with defect tracking tools and software testing methodologies.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functional and technical teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an Agile or DevOps environment.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Experience developing models for future testing configurations.
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards related to software quality.

Salary Range:  $85,000 to $125,000
