Akira Technologies, Inc. is building a talent pipeline for a future Software Architect position. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in full-stack development, with a strong background in Drupal and Agile/SAFe methodologies. This role requires expertise in designing and implementing software architectures in federal environments and leveraging AI-assisted programming tools.
Ideal candidates should be based in the DC Metro Area or willing to relocate.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and develop software architectures and solutions using Agile/SAFe methodologies.
- Provide technical leadership to development teams in federal environments.
- Design and implement full-stack solutions with a focus on Drupal development.
- Work with the Webform module in Drupal to develop and optimize solutions.
- Utilize AI-assisted programming tools such as GitHub Copilot, Gemini, and other Department of Labor (DOL)-approved AI tools.
- Ensure compliance with best practices, security policies, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and refine software requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of ten (10) years of hands-on full-stack development experience, with at least five (5) years specializing in Drupal.
- Proven experience as a team lead or architect in federal software development projects.
- Agile/SAFe certification or demonstrated equivalent experience.
- Expertise in AI-assisted programming tools such as GitHub Copilot, Gemini, or equivalent.
- Strong experience working with the Webform module in Drupal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Drupal/Acquia Certification.
- Experience developing architectures for federal agencies.
- Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and DevSecOps best practices.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards in government IT.

Salary Range: $125,000 - $180,000
