Akira Technologies is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to lead initiatives focused on OCR modernization and image processing. In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders to analyze and refine business requirements, ensuring seamless integration of OCR-based automation into existing workflows. Your expertise will help streamline operations, enhance data accuracy, and improve efficiency across mission-critical projects.
Ideal candidate should be local to DC Metro Area. At least an MBTI clearance is required.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements. Ensure that requirements are clear, complete, and actionable.
- Evaluate existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement or optimization. Propose solutions to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency, particularly in OCR modernization and image processing.
- Analyze and define requirements for OCR-based automation and image processing solutions, ensuring seamless integration into existing business operations.
- Create detailed use cases, user stories, and mockups to illustrate software functionality and user interactions.
- Work with stakeholders to prioritize and manage requirements based on business value and project constraints.
- Facilitate effective communication between business stakeholders and development teams. Ensure a shared understanding of project goals and requirements.
- Collaborate with QA teams to develop test plans and ensure that software solutions, including OCR and image processing functionalities, meet specified requirements and quality standards.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of requirements, use cases, and project-related materials.
- Manage and document changes to project scope, requirements, and objectives throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in OCR modernization, image processing, software development, and business analysis. Suggest and implement process improvements.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently.
- 5 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst in software development projects.
- 3 years of experience working as a contractor or employee of the Internal Revenue System
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in requirement gathering techniques, modeling tools, and documentation.
- Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Familiarity with project management tools and software development lifecycle.
- Experience with OCR modernization technologies
- Experience with image processing tools and techniques, including but not limited to OpenCV, Adobe Document Cloud, or machine learning-based image analysis.
- Scrum Certification (CSM) is a plus.
Salary Range: $85,000 to $125,000
