Warehouse Maintenance Associate
AKIRA is a Chicago-based Women's Fast Fashion Retailer with 30 stores across the U.S. with a strong e-commerce presence. Due to rapid growth, we are looking to hire a maintenance associate to join our team. Job Type: Full-time
Job Location: Bolingbrook, IL
Salary: $17.00 an hour
Shift: Monday- Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
In this role you will:
- Assist the warehouse maintenance team with projects, cleanup, and perform all job tasks assigned by the leadership staff
- Gather up and break down cardboard boxes throughout our Distribution Center
- Use of baler to compact the cardboard boxes
- Forklift use to relocate pallets
- Promote a culture of respect and an atmosphere of teamwork in order to foster a positive working environment
- Operate scanners/computers related to warehouse operations
- Stand/walk 8 to 10 hours a day
- Move product, supplies and/or boxes repetitively; move and/or lift 50 lbs
- Adhere to company safety guidelines to prevent personal injury and product and facility damage
Skills:
- 1 year Forklift Experience required
- Must work effectively as a team member
- Great communication and interpersonal abilities
- Excellent organizational skills
- Basic math skills
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent preferred
- English language skills (written and verbal) preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
