What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Manufacturing Lead position at Akkar?
Akkar is an innovative automotive supplier, and we're looking for a talented Manufacturing Engineer to support our NPI activities across the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting NPI initiatives to drive efficiency and quality improvement
- Designing and developing PLC programs for injection molding and automation technologies
- Recalibrating equipment to improve process efficiency and reduce takt time during series production
- Ensuring site quality standards are upheld through effective QMS implementation
- Driving Lean initiatives throughout the shop floor to boost productivity
- Collaborating with the tooling department to optimize requirements during NPI/launch phases
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably industrial
- 4 years of experience in automotive manufacturing engineering
- 2 years of experience in an injection molding shop
- Strong knowledge of controls engineering for molding equipment
- Extensive understanding of injection molding processes
- Familiarity with CAD for manufacturing
