Akkar is collaborating with an automotive T-1/T-2 supplier of injection molded parts to support their operations. This supplier caters to America's largest OEMs, working with experts in the injection molding industry.
Your Role:
As a Manufacturing Engineering Contractor, you will be responsible for supporting NPI activities, such as PLC programming of injection molding and automation technologies, equipment recalibration for process improvement, and driving Lean initiatives throughout the shop floor. Your goal will be to optimize the production process while ensuring quality and efficiency.
Your Expertise:
To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, ideally industrial. A minimum of ~4 years of experience in automotive manufacturing engineering and ~2 years of experience in an injection molding shop is also required. Strong knowledge of controls engineering for molding equipment, injection molding processes, and CAD for manufacturing is essential.
