We seek a VP, Product and Engineering with experience overseeing product and engineering teams. The role will involve ensuring the implementation of best practices in both product management and engineering, fostering a culture of innovation, and leveraging emerging technologies such as AI to drive our strategic initiatives. You will work closely with senior managers, key stakeholders, executives, and investors to shape and execute our long-term vision and strategy.
THE DAY-TO-DAY
- Oversee the product and engineering teams, ensuring alignment with company goals and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to senior managers, ensuring cohesive and effective teamwork across departments.
- Develop and implement best practices in product management and engineering processes.
- Define and execute the product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
- Drive innovation in product development, leveraging AI and other emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge in the insurtech space.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of product and engineering efforts.
- Present product and engineering strategies, progress, and outcomes to the executive team and investors, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and measure success in product development and engineering.
- Ensure the engineering team adheres to industry standards and best practices, including agile methodologies, continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI / CD).
- Implement robust quality assurance processes to deliver high-quality products.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top talent in product management and engineering.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the teams.
WHAT MAKES YOU QUALIFIED
Python / Flask
You will report to AKKO's Co-CEO / Co-Founder. The base salary for this position ranges from $175,000 to $240,000. Total compensation for this position is $275,000 or more. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
