Controls Programming
The assignment will involve the final stage of commissioning a power converter controller that will be used to control a prototype
- Required 5 years experience in the development, programing, test, and commissioning of power converter controls electronics with a primary focus in controls applied to electric machines (range of 10kw to 2MW)
- BSEE or MSEE
- Experience in the development and / or test of software intensive control systems.
- Very strong knowledge and experience of real time control and implementation in C / C
- Strong knowledge and experience with PLECs modeling and simulation
- Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY
- DesiredIn-depth knowledge of electrical machines including electromagnetic, thermal as well as mechanical technology aspects.
- US person or citizen
- Experience in Automotive Hybrid Electrical or Aerospace Systems.
- Technical creativity and business acumen
- Ability to work across all functions / levels as part of a global team.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Determine electrical machine (generators, motors, power delivery, and accessories') requirements by studying system and customer requirements.
- Proven leadership, coaching and teamwork skills
