Akkodis is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer for a 7 months Contract position with a client located in Urbana, OH
Pay Range : $34/hr. - $36/hr. (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)
Job Description:
Looking for an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer who is a self-starter, self-motivated team player with the ability to think outside of the box to solve complex problems in a fast-paced Aerospace environment.
Must be able to read and interpret part drawings and aviation related specifications.
Must be able to read, understand and create manufacturing work instructions.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, Projects, Visio and Outlook.
Must be able to Identify failure modes and determine RCCA.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must have the ability to use calipers, micrometers, height gage and feature checking gages to determine part conformity.
Must have the ability to understand part and assembly BOM structure.
Must have experience working with internal and external suppliers and customers.
Must have the ability to identify opportunities for tooling and/or fixturing and make design recommendations.
Must have experience with time study of manufacturing and/or assembly operations.
Experience with SAP ERP system is preferred.
Experience with APQP functions: Process Map, Control Plan, PFMEA, MSA & PFEP is preferred.
Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification is preferred.
Experience identifying capital projects, submitting capital project requests and work with purchasing and the capitalization team to complete capital projects is preferred.
BS in Engineering is preferred.
