**Job Summary:**
Akkodis is seeking an Avionics Technician for a client in the Erlanger, KY area. The ideal candidate will be expected to effectively inspect, modify, and repair aircraft at the maintenance facility and remote locations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Install and test complex avionics equipment and electrical systems on aircraft or spacecraft.
- Evaluate that all avionics equipment works properly before take-off and does not interfere with any other electronic device.
- Remove, repair, and re-install problematic avionics equipment before an aircraft is cleared for take-off.
- Perform intricate and highly reliable soldering on components for navigation, controls, and communication.
- Assemble and install electrical components.
- Provide accurate diagnoses of difficult avionics problems.
- Organize ground support and test equipment for flight tests.
- Analyze flight test data to diagnose malfunctions and study the operations of electrical components.
- Coordinate work with engineers, technicians, and aircraft maintenance staff.
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs and work performed on the aircraft.
Requirements:
- Five (5) years of experience in aircraft maintenance
- Previous experience and advanced training with Boeing series aircraft (737, 747-400, and 747-800 Gen Fam)
- Valid passport and willingness to travel for recovery and special projects
- Fluent English language skills (read, write, speak)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft software
- Ability to work rotating schedules (weekends, nights, and holidays as required)
