Application Developer

Akkodis is seeking an Application Developer Position with a client located in Rochester, NY. Must hold a Bachelor's in Computer Science or a related field to be considered. You will assist with requirements gathering, maintain and support functionality, develop and implement key functionality within the application, follow and apply software development life cycle best practices to create best in class applications. Will also create technical solutions through application development practices

Pay/Salary Range $58,00k-$70,00k.

Application Developer responsibilities include:

· Build applications, server-side logic and/or cloud-based SQL database models

· Design, code, test, debug, document, maintain, and modify computer p of high complexity, significance, and risk

· Contribute to business enhancement requests, requirements, interdependencies, potential risks, workflow analysis, and functional specifications.

· Responsible for all application configuration changes to improve data quality.

· Serve as point person for integration with other platforms.

· Provide technical support and troubleshooting on issues, configuration changes and new functionality related to applications.

· Partner with IT help desk to ensure front-line support and user community has access to resources and documentation as needed.

· Advocate for changes that align with overall IT strategy, such as cloud migration and leveraging single sign-on

· Ensure that all significant application updates and other pertinent information are documented and communicated appropriately within the agency.

· Manage and continually review permissions, access, roles, configuration of the applications.

· Participate in user community forums and/or user conferences to share experiences with the application, learn about future updates, and make recommendations for enhancements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor's in Computer Science or a related field is required.

· Minimum Three years related experience

· Deep understanding of modern web applications design architecture, good API design patterns, security, performance and scale

· Experience with Web based applications, so skills like C#, ASP.NET along with newer technologies like Angular and React

· Experience with Microsoft SQL Servers, Azure Synapse or Azure SQL instance

· Experience with Power Apps and Power Automate skills
