Akkodis is seeking a Buyer for a client in Bartlesville, OK. The ideal candidate will manage procurement processes, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure materials meet technical specifications, quality, and delivery requirements. SAP and Microsoft Office skills are a must. Strong communication skills are essential for collaboration with internal teams and suppliers.
Pay Range: $30/hr - $35/hr (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)
JOB SUMMARY:
- Material Procurement: Purchasing materials based on required technical specifications, price, delivery schedules, and terms.
- Supplier Negotiations: Negotiating with main suppliers and periodically updating price lists, terms, and conditions.
- Purchase Orders: Initiating purchase orders according to requisitions and aligning with standard procedures.
- Supplier Performance Management: Overseeing supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolving any performance issues.
- New Supplier Identification: Identifying and qualifying new suppliers in collaboration with supplier quality and engineering specialists.
- Customer Requirements Alignment: Ensuring supplier orders meet customer requirements in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability, and price.
Key Requirements:
- Knowledge & Skills: Understanding of drawings, standard procurement/purchasing procedures, and company policies.
- Communication: Strong communication skills for interfacing with various internal teams throughout the procurement process.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Experience: Up to 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, or demonstrated accomplishments in a related role.
