Akkodis is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer/Architect for a Contract job with a client in Plano, TX(Hybrid). The candidate will design and implement centralized observability and monitoring solutions in the AWS environment.
Rate Range: $75/hour to $80/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Cloud Security Engineer / Architect job responsibilities include:
Designing and implementing security solutions to protect cloud environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Developing and enforcing security policies, procedures, and controls across cloud platforms.
Conducting security risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies for cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into cloud services and infrastructure.
Monitoring and responding to security incidents, ensuring rapid containment and resolution.
Managing cloud security tools and ensuring proper configuration and monitoring of security controls.
Ensuring continuous improvement of security posture through regular audits and vulnerability assessments.
Working with development teams to implement secure coding practices and secure cloud-native applications.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
5 years of experience in cloud security engineering or architecture.
Deep knowledge of cloud security frameworks and best practices for AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms.
Experience with security tools such as AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, and vulnerability management platforms.

Pay Details: $75.00 to $80.00 per hour
