Compliance Manager
Location: Old Bethpage, NY 11804 (Onsite with some flexibility)
Type: Full-Time Role
Overview:
A leading provider of high-performance surface coatings is seeking a Compliance Manager to oversee CMMC certification processes and ensure adherence to ITAR, CUI, and other regulatory standards. This role involves developing and implementing compliance policies, conducting audits, and providing guidance on regulatory matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead CMMC certification initiatives and maintain compliance.
- Develop, review, and update policies and procedures for compliance with CMMC and ITAR standards.
- Conduct regular audits, monitor compliance, and address gaps.
- Classify and handle CUI/ITAR documents appropriately.
- Provide training on compliance standards and act as a subject matter expert.
- Assess compliance risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Maintain thorough documentation and present findings to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, IT, business administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in compliance or cybersecurity, with expertise in CMMC, ITAR, or CUI management.
- Familiarity with NIST SP 800-171; CMMC certifications (Assessor or Practitioner) are a plus.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience in government contracting or highly regulated industries preferred.
- Knowledge of compliance monitoring tools and cybersecurity frameworks.
Additional Details:
- Work Environment: Combination of office and manufacturing settings.
- Travel: Occasional domestic and overseas travel may be required.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with additional hours as needed.
