Datacenter Technician

Akkodis is seeking a Datacenter Technician for a Contract job with a client in Colorado Springs, CO. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving hardware and infrastructure issues in multi-vendor systems in data centers.

Rate Range: $22/hour to $24.57/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Resident Field Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within IT infrastructure, including multi-vendor systems, servers, storage, and networking.
• Perform installation, break/fix support, and component replacement, following detailed instructions and best practices.
• Use software tools to support day-to-day functions and troubleshooting in a data center IT operations environment.
• Manage operational tasks, including resolving escalations and clearing blocking issues to ensure continued data center support activities.
• Document daily activities and maintain organized records of troubleshooting and resolutions.
• Work independently or as part of a team, collaborating with management, peers, and customers at all levels.

Desired Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-3 years of technical experience, preferably in IT infrastructure, storage, servers, or networking.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform component-level repairs using ESD best practices.
• Ability to lift to 40 lbs, stand for extended periods, and use a pallet jack and data center server lifting tools.
