What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Technician position at Akkodis?
Akkodis is Seeking a Extrusion Engineering Technician contractor for the location of Maple Grove MN. It is a contract Position for 12 months. Ideally Looking for a candidate with experience in the Medical Manufacturing Industry.
Pay Range: $30 - $34/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Duties
1. Develop concepts and accordingly construct prototypes/products from concepts.
2. Utilize basic mechanical drawing or CAD software to document prototypes and fixtures.
3. Explore and propose creative solutions based on solid rationales and contribute to design and process concepts.
4. Organize, coordinate, and execute building and testing of prototypes/products per engineering instructions.
5. Use internal resources and qualified external vendors to assist engineering teams to identify and obtain supplies and services.
6. Act as a resource to other employees.
7. Communicate project status to project teams.
Qualifications
AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline and 3 years of related experience.
Medical Device background
Additional Job Specific Requirements:
Background in shaft construction (extrusion, braiding, etc.) preferred but not required
Self-sufficient and collaborative
Able to multitask effectively
