What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Health Safety Specialist position at Akkodis?
Akkodis is recruiting for an EHS Specialist for an aerospace manufacturer in the Victorville, CA area. This is an onsite contract position with a pay range of $30 hour to $40 hour, depending on education, experience and location. This person will drive implementation of programs to ensure all federal, state, and local health & safety regulatory and GE management system requirements are met.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Safety Management, Occupational Health & Safety or similar (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in EHS within an aviation / manufacturing / industrial environment
- Knowledge of and familiarity with Cal / OSHA Title 8 regulations and Cal / VPP Program
- Proficient knowledge of regulatory requirements of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other federal and state agencies.
- Travel to additional sites my be needed.
