Akkodis is seeking an Equipment Operator II – 3rd Shift for a Contract job with a client in Southington, CT. The ideal candidate is responsible for operating manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently, with a focus on troubleshooting and maintaining production.
Note : Shift- 3rd Shift -Monday - Friday (10 : 45 PM- 7 : 15 AM)
Rate Range : $20 / hour to $23 / hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Equipment Operator II – 3rd Shift job responsibilities include :
Operating manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring smooth start-up from a cold state.
Performing preventive maintenance tasks as required and ensuring equipment is in good working condition.
Participating in changeovers, including line clearance, system transactions, and necessary documentation.
Setting up work orders in electronic batch records, data acquisition, and inventory management systems.
Pulling test samples for quality control (QC) inspections and managing the removal of completed production.
Performing minor troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve machine performance issues.
Updating hourly production boards with efficiency numbers and noting any issues such as downtime or quality concerns.
Submitting machine repair tags for issues that need support services.
Ensuring products that do not meet quality specifications are processed according to non-conformance procedures.
Maintaining 5S standards and a clean, organized work area.
Participating in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
Complying with all company regulations, safety standards, and legal requirements.
Desired Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GED; Technical Certificate with relevant experience preferred.
1-3 years of manufacturing experience.
Ability to operate and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment efficiently.
Strong understanding of preventive maintenance, quality control, and adherence to safety standards.

Pay Details : $20.00 to $23.00 per hour
