Akkodis is seeking an Industrial Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Lima, OH . Responsibilities include driving the development of labor standards, analyzing process constraints, and conducting time studies to optimize efficiency, while also coordinating engineering changes and value stream mapping.
Rate Range : $40 / hour to $42 / hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Industrial Engineer job responsibilities include :
Drive the development and installation of direct and indirect labor standards and methods.
Track labor efficiency, manpower utilization, and line balancing.
Conduct job ergonomics evaluations and equipment cycle time analysis.
Recommend the most efficient distribution of manpower and review daily employee manpower.
Analyze plant methods and standards and prepare cost estimates for new or revised methods.
Review proposed changes in plant layout, processes, material handling, and routing.
Analyze production and non-production operations to identify areas for study and improvement.
Conduct time and motion / MODAPTS studies and review employee proposals.
Develop cycle line layouts for current and future models using ACAD.
Lead job methodization and process allocations, and coordinate engineering changes and planning.
Conduct value stream mapping and process audits to optimize operations.
Desired Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering.
2 years of experience in industrial engineering.
Ability to analyze and resolve issues quickly through root cause analysis and drive changes in production departments.
Strong communication skills and the ability to serve as a confident technical mentor to both hourly and salaried employees in a manufacturing environment.

Pay Details : $40.00 to $42.00 per hour
