What are the responsibilities and job description for the Java Developer III position at Akkodis?
Akkodis is seeking a Java Developer III for a long-term contract position with one of our direct clients based in College Station, TX (Hybrid - 1 day/week onsite).
Rate Range: $60-65/hr. On w2 (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Defines site objectives by analyzing user requirements; and envisioning system features and functionality.
- Designs and develops user interfaces for internet/intranet applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout the development life cycle.
- Determining design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products.
- Designing and conducting tests.
- Troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
- Supports users by developing documentation and assistance tools.
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms.
- Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
- Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate).
- Experience in the Spring Framework.
- Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC).
- Java, J2EE, Hibernate.
