Lead Materials Engineering Technician

Akkodis is seeking a Lead Materials Engineering Technician for a Contract job with a client in Clearwater, FL. The ideal candidates will operate a wide range of analytical equipment to support materials testing and failure analysis.

Rate Range: $33/hour to $34/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Lead Materials Engineering Technician job responsibilities include:

• Operating a variety of analytical equipment to support materials testing, engineering evaluations, and failure analysis.
• Performing metallurgical sample preparation, tensile testing, and other laboratory techniques as required.
• Supporting receiving inspection testing of production materials in the Metals and Fluids Labs, as well as other labs when needed.
• Collaborating with Engineers and other Technicians to conduct analysis and ensure quality control.
• Managing multiple tasks and shifting priorities with minimal supervision.
• Assisting with failure investigation and supporting the development of technical reports.

Desired Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on lab experience in metallurgical or similar analytical laboratory environments.
• Expertise in metallurgical sample preparation, tensile testing, or similar analytical lab techniques.

Pay Details: $33.00 to $34.00 per hour
