What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Device Quality Inspector position at Akkodis?
Akkodis is seeking a Medical Device Quality Inspector for a one-to-three-year job with possible perm conversion with a client in Spencer, IN. You will inspect processes completed by the production area or from an outside vendor. First shift (7 : 30 am 4 : 00 pm) and second shift (4 : 30 pm 12 : 30 am) positions available.
Rate Range : $16.00 / hour to $18.40 / hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Medical Device Quality Inspector job responsibilities include :
Read, comprehend, and follow specifications, quality control instructions, and drawings to inspect various products.
May use calipers, pin gauges, meter stick, meter scales, micrometer, and various test equipment. May use a microscope or magnification in the inspection process.
Maintain accurate and complete documentation.
Make sound judgment decisions after initial training.
Report quality problems or findings to Management.
Complete quality work at accepted department determined rates.
Perform work in compliance with Company Quality Policy Manual.
Ability to work independently or in a team-based setting.
Must maintain all training requirements for the position, while seeking out opportunities for continuous development and growth.
Adhere to the Quality Management System and its processes to meet FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization.
Must maintain company quality and quantity standards.
Desired Qualifications :
Minimum High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma
Must have effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision.
Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations.
Must meet the Visual Acuity Screening Requirements of 20 / 40 vision using both eyes with or without correction. Must be able to pass a color perception test.
Must be able to follow all guidelines for working in a clean room.
Frequent repetitive motion. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to grasp, carry, feel or touch; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch; communicate.
Moderate exposure to noise level in the work environment that is moderate to occasionally loud.
Occasionally lifts and / or moves up to 50 pounds.
