Akkodis is seeking a Microsoft Server Engineer for our client based in Washington DC.
Rate Range: $45-$50/hr on w2 without benefits, The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Shift:
Two-days per week onsite requirement at HQ, Washington DC.
Once every 2-3 months support existing server infrastructure in a 24x7 on-call escalation capacity as part of a team rotation.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Active Directory Team and for IPv6-related activities.
- Responsible for all IPv6 integration activities for the Windows Server team including providing support for IPv6 Testing, design, implementation, and integration with Windows Active Directory, MS ADFS, and Domain Controllers.
- Will be working with a team of server engineers to troubleshoot issues for multiple systems in multiple datacenter locations.
- Provide support, implementation, and design services for Windows-based systems across the enterprise.
- Responsible for resolving and completing assigned tasks and change requests and will act as an escalation for support issues.
- Responsible for applying new solutions through research and collaboration with team members and will be advising on a course of actions for new application initiatives.
