Akkodis is seeking a Network Security Engineer for a Full-Time position with a client located in Omaha, NE. This IT professional would support installing, configuring, managing, and fixing all things Palo Alto.
Pay/Salary Range: $120,000/yr - $140,000/yr
Job Duties:
- Install and Configure Firewalls: Set up and configure Palo Alto firewalls to ensure network security.
- Monitor Network Security: Continuously monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and potential threats.
- Manage Security Policies: Develop, implement, and manage security policies to protect network resources.
- Troubleshoot Issues: Identify and resolve network security issues promptly to maintain optimal performance.
- Perform Regular Updates: Ensure all security systems and software are up-to-date with the latest patches and updates.
- Conduct Security Audits: Regularly audit network security to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
- Provide Technical Support: Offer technical support to users and clients regarding network security issues.
- Document Procedures: Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, security policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with other IT and security teams to ensure comprehensive network protection.
- Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in information technology/information services, including at least 4 years in Network and information security.
- Expert knowledge of cloud security standards and industry best practices.
- Experience with systems management and automation, utilizing ARM templates and PowerShell.
- Strong communication skills including presentation to senior leadership.
- Strong collaboration skills, works well with ambiguity, works well across roles and groups.
