Akkodis is looking for a talented Manufacturing Engineer for a Contract-to-Hire position with a client in Middlefield, CT.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with 3 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably with knowledge of mechanical materials and optical design.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing assembly processes, alignment processes, and test processes for the company while collaborating with the engineering team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to reduce assembly cycle times
- Create and maintain detailed assembly and test procedures
- Train production technicians on assembly and test procedures
- Analyze production and field failures to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Develop and implement screening tests for components and assemblies
- Improve production rates, efficiencies, yields, and costs
- Respond efficiently to troubleshooting requests from the production team
- Design and develop new equipment and tooling requirements
- Support process improvements through FMEA
Requirements:
- Intermediate knowledge of Mechanical, Materials
- Optical Design experience preferred
- Lean manufacturing practices experience
- Assembly process standardization experience
