Akkodis is looking for a Jr. Production Planner in Twinsburg, Ohio. Please review the details below:
Ideally, you will be an integral part of the supply chain planning team, assisting with the coordination and management of production, MRO, and project materials. The role focuses on executing work orders, managing material flow, and supporting planning efforts for both ongoing and future production projects. This position also supports MRO requests and parts-pulling operations.
Pay Range: $20-$25/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Type: 12 months contract-to-hire
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage MRO Materials:
- Oversee kit pulling, and material put-away activities, and respond to parts requests.
Support MRO Planning:
- Assist with forecasting materials using new forecasting tools.
- Update material master data for Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO).
Back-up OE Planner Support:
- Provide support for Original Equipment (OE) planners as needed.
Release and Manage Work Orders:
- Ensure work orders are created, released, and tracked effectively through production.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- 0–2 years of experience in a supply chain or planning role, with a foundational understanding of production and operations.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of production and operations processes.
- Ability to use metrics to manage production efficiency and material flow.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Capability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma is a plus.
- Willingness to learn new planning tools and systems.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Basic knowledge of Bill of Materials (BoM) and production routing.
- Familiarity with inventory management techniques (e.g., cycle counting, ABC analysis, demand forecasting).
- Experience handling non-conforming materials, including documentation, scrap processing, and repair order management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with project managers, production, and logistics teams.
