Akkodis is seeking a Project Engineer for a 1-year W2 contract position with a client in Chattanooga, TN. This role involves strategic planning, data analysis, and contractor management to ensure project timelines and objectives are met, with a focus on structured maintenance weekend site support. Qualifications include a degree in Engineering or Project Management, and proficiency in MS Office and blueprint reading. This position is Friday to Monday and is offering 12 days of PTO.

Rate Range: $30.00/hour to $35.00/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Project Engineer job responsibilities include:
- Support and provide advance strategic planning recommendations for meeting project timeline and objectives.
- Evaluation of collected project data and trends for strategic planning recommendations.
- Develop, prepare, and submit preparations for weekend work applications to define line condition and lockout requirements.
- Review line condition request for pre-approvals weekly with production maintenance and any other stakeholders.
- Support reporting weekly contractor status and performance results.
- Attend weekly reporting meeting on Monday mornings.
- Logging and tracking manpower, equipment, materials consumptions of each project contractor.
- Filling of contractor status reports to the network.
- Cross check for approval recommendations of these utilizations against contractor invoicing applications.
- Log and Track Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) documentation.
- Support DATA collection and any reconciliation efforts.
- Support contractor site clarification needs to relay information timely and accurately.
Qualifications:
- 4-year Engineering degree or Project management degree.
- Understanding of basic structural systems and machinery.
- Understanding of basic project management and engineering.
- Experience with construction activities, equipment, and similar jobsites.
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and oral.
- Ability to use MS Office computer applications and must be proficient at using Excel.
- Must be able to read blueprints / construction drawings.
