Akkodis is seeking a construction Estimator in the concrete and city infrastructure space to join the team of a growing company.
Pay/Salary Range: $70,000 – 115,000 (commensurate with your experience)
Job Description:
The Estimator will join a team of seasoned Estimators to learn the ropes of concrete and underground construction. Your experience in preparing and submitting a bid for proposed work contracts or your experience in construction with concrete structures will be valuable to your success in this role. This role is responsible for estimating the cost of projects, researching the cost of materials and labor, and collaborating with engineers, suppliers and other personnel relevant to the job.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Advanced education in Civil Engineering, Construction management, or related fields are preferred.
- Previous experience in public works infrastructure is strongly preferred
- Interest in construction management or concrete structures is strongly preferred
- Strong organizational, time management, and negotiation skills is required
- Demonstrated professional written and verbal communication is required
